A leading U.S. distributor of manufacturing products, whose portfolio includes McLean Cooling Technology, had a customer with an urgent need for harsh environment air conditioners with special options.  Normally the lead time for these units is 4-5 weeks.  However, McLean’s customer service representative worked with engineering and manufacturing to find a way to ship the critically needed air conditioners in just 7 days.

The six McLean custom air conditioners were ordered with a special 400 AC volt supply and non-standard paint color.  They shipped to a robotics assembler who was supplying the entire automated manufacturing project to one of the Big 3 U.S. auto makers.

The distributor was very grateful and delighted that McLean was able to produce the custom air conditioners in one-fifth the time it would normally take.  And their customer was as equally satisfied.  In fact, because of McLean’s responsiveness, significantly larger orders for the custom air conditioners were placed several months later.

While McLean cannot typically produce custom air conditioners within 7 days, it is one of many examples in which the company truly puts the customer first.
